About This Album

"Ascend to Heaven" is the debut EP from A.L.E.N. — eight instrumental tracks built from chopped soul samples, dusty drums, and atmosphere. The kind of tape you put on when the city goes quiet.

Recorded in 2009–2010, the project pulls heavy from the Nujabes and J Dilla school — slow, intentional beats with room to breathe. No features, no hooks. Just sound.

A.L.E.N. has since rebranded as Ace., now running with The Diamonds crew, and has a new album called "Drive By Shooting" in the works. But this EP is where it started.

 nujabesfan99"Clouds" is the one. bro sampled that correctly. rest of the tape is clean too, "Heaven" goes hard as a closer. this is what i needed

 beatdigger_22added this whole thing to my ipod. "Nice and Slow" then "Above the Sky" back to back is a perfect combo. dude knows how to sequence an EP
